Okay so quick little ramble. I really can't believe July is almost over and August is just around the corner! This year is just disappearing! I mean its almost christmas, okay I'm kidding but the year is disappearing. Any whoo... Here is my view on the ever so popular take the day off balm..
I have read so many reviews on this cleansing balm, all good reviews might I add, however I never had the intention of picking it up, but then I was shopping with my sister and she got talking to a friend of hers who worked on the Clinique stand. As my sister baffled on for 10 or so minutes, I found myself eyeing up this balm. However I resisted, I turned away and walked towards the exit and then as I was about to leave the shop I ran back in and purchased it. That my friend is what you call compulsive shopping. I try to not compulsive shop to often, but on this occasion I'm glad I did.
This Balm retails at £22.00 which is a little more on the expensive side, but I would say skincare is worth it and also I've splurged on products much more expensive that did nothing for my skin. Also a little bit of this cleansing balm really does go a long way, I take a little bit onto my fingertips and massage it over my skin, I will then use a muslin cloth and rinse it off with warm water. You can literally see your make up melting off.
The formula is really nice it's light weight, it is non-drying and non greasy so I can imagine it works well for many skin types. I also love it for lazy days I will just smother some of the balm over my skin and then jump in the shower and let the water wash away the remaining balm. I have heard many people say it works well for removing all makeup even there water proof mascara, I'm not sure I completely agree with this, I tried using the balm to remove my eye makeup and yes it does remove it but if your eyes are sensitive like mine, I wouldn't recommend it. I found it uncomfortable on my eyes and stung slightly, I also felt like once I washed it off there was like a blurry film over my eyes. But I have heard so many people say it is perfectly fine on there eyes so maybe give it a go? If your eyes are more sensitive like mine you could just try using Bioderma to remove your eye makeup or Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, both work wonders for removing eye makeup effectively.
Overall I love this cleanser, it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight and it doesn't irritate the dry patches on my face so although I cant use it to remove eye makeup I give this product ***** 5 stars out of 5. I have really sensitive eyes so I don't think I will ever find something that doesn't irritate my eyes.
